Cosse y Maisonneuve Malbec

Malbec is perhaps best known in Argentina, but this hearty grape varietal has its origins in France. Today in France Malbec has its home in Cahors and Catherine Solly is considered one of the best producers of Malbec there. Upon opening this wine it is bursting with fruit forward flavors of red plum, blueberry, and blackberry, which evolves across the palate with notes of tobacco and cocoa, finishing with an herbaceous hint of mint. Done 100% in stainless steel tanks this Malbec is incredibly clean with no sulphur added and no oak in order to preserve the freshness and the fruit.
